Customization Options:
- Built-in Ribbon Customization: Control visibility, order, and state of ribbon tabs, groups, and items using properties like RibbonTabItems, RibbonGroupItems, and RibbonItems
- Custom Ribbon Extensions: Add custom ribbon tabs, groups, and items using CustomRibbonTabs, CustomRibbonGroups, and CustomRibbonItems for extended functionality
- Dynamic Ribbon Methods: Use methods like HideRibbonItems, ShowRibbonItems, EnableRibbonItems, DisableRibbonItems, AddRibbonItems, HideRibbonTabs, ShowRibbonTabs, EnableRibbonTabs, DisableRibbonTabs, and AddRibbonTab to update the ribbon at runtime
- File Menu Customization: Customize the file menu with methods like HideFileMenuItems, ShowFileMenuItems, EnableFileMenuItems, DisableFileMenuItems, and AddFileMenuItems
In this demo, the default Clear dropdown is hidden from the Home tab. A custom tab is added with buttons for various clearing operations:
- Clear All - Removes both content and formatting from the selected cells.
- Clear Content - Removes only the cell content while preserving the formatting.
- Clear Format - Removes only the formatting while preserving the content.
- Clear Links - Removes hyperlinks from the selected cells.
This demonstrates customization of the ribbon by hiding built-in items and introducing a dedicated tab with specialized buttons for specific operations.
